Melting supervisor – Steel casting Foundry

Role Description

• Supervise melting operations during the assigned shift, ensuring production targets and quality standards are met.
• Monitor and control furnace parameters, raw material charging, and melt quality.
• Coordinate with pattern, molding, and quality departments for smooth workflow.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE usage, and housekeeping standards.
• Maintain shift records, production logs, and consumption reports.
• Identify and address process deviations, troubleshooting issues as required.
• Train and guide operators, helpers, and other shift staff.
• Handover complete shift details to the next shift supervisor.

Qualification:

• Diploma / B.E. in Metallurgy, Mechanical, or Foundry Technology
• 5–8 years in foundry melting operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of induction furnace operation and melting practices
• Ability to manage manpower and coordinate across departments
• Familiarity with quality standards, chemical analysis, and process control
• Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
