Housekeeping Supervisor

The role of a housekeeping supervisor is multifaceted and demanding. They are responsible for ensuring that all public, patient, and doctor rooms meet the highest standards of cleanliness.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting regular room checks to ensure adherence to cleaning schedules and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Identifying and removing furniture, curtains, and other fixtures requiring repair or replacement.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive schedule for renovating public areas and inspecting staff turnout.
  • Accounting for any furniture movements and following up on maintenance orders.
  • Inspecting and controlling cleaning equipment and assigning duties to housekeeping staff.
  • Ensuring each patient room meets cleanliness standards and checking par stock of linen and guest supplies.
  • Requisitioning fresh linen and cleaning supplies in a timely manner and training housekeeping staff for maximum output and efficiency.
  • Recording lost and found items according to established norms and ensuring pest control and glass cleaning schedules are followed.
