System Specialist Role

Murex consultants provide support for production systems on Murex 3.1.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement, configure, and develop Murex systems in various aspects including datamart, MXML pre-trade and post-trade workflows, RTBS, and MDCS.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and verify requirements.
  • Analyze and make recommendations based on related Murex implementation experience.
  • Adhere to client SDLC lifecycle and documentation requirements.
  • Support IT audits and technology risk assessments.
  • Develop and test database and infrastructure changes.
  • Perform technical reviews of production changes.
  • Write clear and concise documentation of issues and resolution within Confluence.
  • Maintain and enhance the Control-M scheduling tool for intraday and end-of-day batches.
  • Deal directly with users across the bank to analyze and diagnose business-critical issues.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to risk, pricing, PnL, market data, market operations, EOD, interfaces, and reporting.
  • Provide detailed information about issues to vendors and coordinate with them in testing fixes/solutions.
  • Act as an intermediary between business and vendors.
  • Debug and enhance bespoke Java processes supporting the Murex implementation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Murex in a support capacity.
  • Strong technical capability.
  • Solid understanding of DataMart.
