Electrical and Instrumentation Project Specialist

The role of an Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Project Specialist is to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of E&I projects. This includes developing project execution plans for E&I scope, coordinating with design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure timely delivery of E&I deliverables, and tracking progress and resolving interface issues between disciplines.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronics, or instrumentation engineering
  • 5–10 years of experience in E&I engineering within EPC or industrial projects
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, SPI (Smart Plant Instrumentation), and ETAP
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Knowledge of hazardous area classification and Ex equipment is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Coordination
  • Develop project execution plans for E&I scope
  • Coordinate with design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure timely delivery of E&I deliverables
  • Track progress and resolve interface issues between disciplines
  • Technical Oversight
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and datasheets
  • Support the preparation of cable schedules, loop diagrams, and instrument index
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes IEC, NEC, ISA
  • Procurement and Vendor Liaison
  • Prepare material requisitions and technical bid evaluations
  • Coordinate with vendors for FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and documentation
  • Construction and Commissioning Support
  • Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning
  • Participate in SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) and punch list clearance
  • Ensure red-marked drawings and as-built documentation are updated
  • HSE and Quality Assurance
  • Promote safety practices during all phases of the project
  • Ensure quality control and adherence to inspection and test plans (ITPs)
