Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Scope Leadership: Lead end-to-end electrical execution for ACBOS, DCBOS, PSS, GSS, and EHV systems, including 400kV substations and transmission lines.
  • Design and Engineering Coordination: Review and validate all electrical designs, layouts, protection schemes, and interface points for AC/DC systems and high-voltage grid connections. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and quality teams to optimize design and ensure constructability.
  • Construction Execution: Supervise electrical construction activities from installation to testing and commissioning for:
  • DCBOS: DC cabling, combiner boxes, string inverters, SCBs.
  • ACBOS: Transformers, switchgear, HT panels, and cabling.
  • PSS/GSS: 33/220/400kV substations, control rooms, and SCADA.
  • EHV/400kV Lines: Switchyards, gantries, bays, transmission line interfaces.
  • Commissioning/Testing: Coordinate with relevant authorities for pre-commissioning, testing, and synchronization of 400kV systems.
  • HSE & Quality Oversight: Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety standards, quality protocols, and statutory regulations.
  • Team Management: Lead a multidisciplinary electrical execution team, including site engineers, supervisors, and contractors. Ensure daily progress tracking and alignment with project milestones.
  • Cost & Schedule Management: Prepare and monitor electrical BOQs and cost estimates. Track material consumption and contractor billing to control budget overruns.
  • Risk Identification & Mitigation: Identify execution risks across AC/DC/EHV domains and implement timely corrective actions.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of all electrical works and prepare weekly/monthly progress reports for senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 12 years in electrical construction, with at least 8 years in utility-scale solar projects.
  • Proven track record of leading 1 GW+ cumulative capacity.
  • Hands-on experience in 400kV substation and transmission line execution and commissioning.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Deep understanding of ACBOS/DCBOS systems and grid substation design (PSS/GSS).
  • Proficient in electrical drawings (SLDs, GA, layout, schematics) and protection coordination.
  • Familiarity with IEC, IS, and CEA standards and grid codes.
  • Leadership & Communication:
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Clear and effective communicator across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving:
  • Capable of troubleshooting field issues and optimizing project timelines and designs.
