Merchandiser Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Merchandiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in merchandising and marketing, with a strong understanding of order execution and procurement.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. To develop and manage buyer accounts effectively.
  2. Procure orders and follow them through to completion.
  3. Provide valuable insights to the design team for collections.
  4. Tap existing contacts and current buyers for orders at the best possible prices.
  5. Regularly visit factories and communicate with buyers to stay up-to-date on new market trends.
  6. Keep the office informed about changing market trends.
  7. Maintain a pulse on buyer buying patterns and financial conditions.
  8. Ability to provide tentative spot costing during buyer meetings.
  9. Coordinate with production, dispatch, and quality departments.
  10. Stay updated on industry best practices.
  11. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, and organizational abilities.
