Project Coordinator Role

We are seeking a skilled Project Coordinator to oversee the successful execution of projects in the social sector. This position involves managing project plans, tracking quality delivery, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely completion.

  • The Project Coordinator will be responsible for rolling out and implementing projects according to project plans.
  • They will track and ensure the quality delivery of detailed implementation plans (DIPs).
  • Collaboration with program lead and coordinator, as well as internal teams, is crucial to secure necessary support for project execution.
  • Innovative approaches should be encouraged and incorporated into project activities.
  • Operational challenges must be addressed promptly in coordination with the program coordinator and Program Lead.
  • Frequent field visits are required to monitor progress and ensure goals are met.
  • Fostering community involvement and ownership of project activities is essential for long-term sustainability.
  • Aligning project activities with community aspirations and leveraging their strengths to enhance ownership is key.

Developing partnerships and advocacy efforts will account for 30% of the role. This includes building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at community, ward, and district levels across private, government, academic, and NGO sectors.

  1. Key responsibilities include increasing project and organizational visibility among government and other stakeholders.
  2. Identifying opportunities to align stakeholder activities with project goals is crucial.
  3. Representing the project and organization at meetings, committees, and advocacy forums is an essential aspect of this role.
  4. Participating in advocacy efforts at district and state levels to drive impactful change is vital.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A graduate degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Rural Management, or Social Sciences is preferred.
  • At least 1+ year's experience in program implementation in the social sector is required.
  • A good understanding of social and environmental concepts and methods is necessary.
  • Fluency in English, Tamil, and Hindi languages is desired.
