We are Ciklum, a custom product engineering company, and we are looking for a Senior Solution Architect to join our team in India.

About the role:

As a Senior Solution Architect, you will be part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify key business stakeholders and establish communication with them.
  • Identify business goals and objectives.
  • Gather primary functionality, quality characteristics of software behavior, and given constraints.
  • Elaborate business, information, and technology architectures mapping.
  • Elaborate architecture vision that satisfies architecturally significant requirements through trade-off analysis, proof of concepts implementation, and benchmarking.
  • Set up and manage architecture design and documentation processes.
  • Document and communicate architecture decisions and trade-offs to major stakeholders.
  • Review and validate design decisions made by downstream and ensure they satisfy the solution architecture vision.
  • Organize and maintain knowledge assets.
  • Conduct recruitment interviews.
  • Facilitate selection, assessment, and onboarding processes.
  • Set performance targets and monitor progress against agreed quality and performance criteria.
  • Use consistent processes for identifying potential risk events, quantifying, and documenting the probability of occurrence and the impact on the business.
  • Identify communications and relationship needs of stakeholder groups.
  • Implement stakeholder engagement/communications plan.
  • Develop, evolve, and adapt innovation tools, processes, and infrastructures to drive the process of innovation.
  • Contribute to the development of policies, standards, and guidelines for strategy development and planning.

Architecture:

  • Lead the development of systems architectures in specific business, infrastructure, or functional areas.
  • Ensure that appropriate tools and methods are available, understood, and employed in architecture development.
  • Provide advice on technical aspects of solution development and integration.
  • Ensure that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices are applied.

Software Design:

  • Select, adopt, and adapt appropriate systems design methods, tools, and techniques.
  • Undertake impact analysis on major design options and trade-offs.
  • Contribute to the development of systems design policies and standards and selection of architecture components.
  • Comprehensive understanding of paradigms, principles, and methodologies such as SOLID, GRASP, TDD, and DDD.
  • Strong foundation in designing solutions that adhere to development standards focused on the most prominent qualities such as operation excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization, and sustainability.

Requirements and Release Management:

  • Plan and drive scoping, requirements definition, and prioritization activities for large/complex initiatives.
  • Takes responsibility for understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis, and problem resolution.
  • Plan, organize, and conduct audits and determine whether appropriate quality control has been applied.
  • Lead the assessment, analysis, planning, and design of release packages, including assessment of risk.
  • Conduct post-release reviews.
  • Ensure release processes and procedures are applied and that releases can be rolled back as needed.

Business Skills:

  • Employ business acumen to align technology solutions effectively with organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking by anticipating future business needs and designing scalable architectures accordingly.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills by motivating cross-functional teams, guiding decision-making processes, and fostering collaboration.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with technology investments and architectural decisions through effective risk management.
  • Navigate organizational changes adeptly and manage resistance to ensure smooth transitions, exemplifying effective change management.
  • Monitor and maintain financial records, assist IT with financial tasks, and contribute to financial planning, and budgeting.

Desirable:

We welcome certifications on architecture frameworks, cloud providers, and delivery processes.
