Job Opportunity: Strategic Sourcing Professional

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the Procurement Centre of Excellence, you will be responsible for providing sourcing value within the Canadian business, Corporate, and IT spend categories.

  • You will identify and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across departments.
  • You will execute the sourcing process, including managing vendor contracts and negotiating agreements that meet our business needs.
  • You will support clients on related governance requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage high-volume low-risk engagements, applying your expertise in sourcing and procurement to deliver results-driven solutions.
  • Lead clients through the sourcing process, including contract negotiations and risk assessment, to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Assess and resolve procurement issues, using your analytical skills to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Apply project management concepts to the planning and execution of the sourcing process, ensuring timely delivery and effective resource allocation.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant sourcing/procurement experience, with a proven track record of delivering results-driven solutions.
  • Proven expertise in leading sourcing initiatives and developing strategies that drive business value.
  • Comfort working in ambiguity and uncertainty, with a strong ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Familiarity with vendor contract language and SAP Ariba Contracts, with a strong understanding of procurement processes and procedures.

Preferred Skills:

  • Effective client relationship management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Financial analysis skills and Excel skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to lead negotiations and work with internal legal counsel, ensuring successful outcomes and compliant agreements.
