IT Administration Role

This is an entry-level IT administration position that involves providing technical support, system maintenance, software installation, and data backup.

Responsibilities:
  • Technical Support: Offer first-line assistance to employees for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • System Maintenance: Assist with the upkeep of computers, servers, and networking equipment.
  • Software Deployment: Install and update software across the company's systems.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve basic IT problems related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Data Security: Ensure regular data backups and contribute to the company's data security efforts.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, issues, and resolutions in a ticketing or documentation system.
  • Network Support: Monitor and maintain the company's local area network (LAN) and internet connectivity.
Requirements:
  • Education: BSc degree required.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in IT support or administration.
  • Key Skills:
  • Operating Systems: Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Network Concepts: Familiarity with network concepts such as IP addresses, DNS, routers, and switches.
  • Hardware Components: Understanding of computer hardware components including printers and servers.
  • Productivity Software: Proficiency in office productivity software such as Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with non-technical staff.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
