We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to provide expert counsel and support on complex legal matters. The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor to the business, ensuring commercially sensitive and practical advice is provided in a cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Counsel & Advisory: Provide expert guidance on legal issues, including those with substantial impact on the business. Offer commercially sensitive, pragmatic, and practical advice in a timely and effective manner.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal risks across various business departments. Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Provide prompt and practical legal advice to business stakeholders. Build and maintain relationships with external law firms and other parties.
  • Operational Effectiveness: Deliver high-quality legal services while optimizing costs. Collaborate with business teams to ensure compliance with legal risk management requirements.
  • Strategic Thinking: Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations. Adapt work style to meet complex workloads, prioritize based on risk and commercial considerations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Strong understanding of legal risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to think critically and balance risk with business efficacy.
  • A proactive approach to providing support and staying updated on legal developments.

This role requires a professional who can proactively advise on legal risks, manage external law firms, and ensure the organization remains compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements.
