Job Title: Senior Finance Leader

Overview:

The Senior Finance Leader will be responsible for leading the project finance strategy and ensuring timely financial closure to support the company's growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute project financing plans for solar projects, including open access, rooftop, and utility-scale initiatives.
  • Build and evaluate comprehensive financial models to inform investment decisions, including internal rate of return, debt service coverage ratio, payback period, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Manage the end-to-end debt raising process, from preparation of detailed project reports and loan applications to negotiations and disbursement.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with banks, non-banking financial companies, investors, and credit rating agencies to secure project financing.
  • Review and negotiate term sheets, loan agreements, and financial covenants to ensure alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including business development, engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure effective financial due diligence and risk assessment.
  • Monitor cash flow, loan compliance, and repayment schedules for ongoing projects to minimize risk and optimize returns.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Finance or equivalent with a strong background in financial management.
  • Minimum 8–12 years of experience in project finance, preferably in the renewable energy/power/infrastructure sector.
  • Proven track record of success in debt raising, project financing, and financial closures.
  • Advanced expertise in financial modeling, credit appraisal, and risk analysis.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight timelines.
