Valve Engineering Solutions Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Valve Engineering Solutions Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting the valves quotation work and submitting quotations to customers/distributors in a timely and accurate manner.
The successful candidate will review customer specifications, analyze requirements, and offer suitable technical solutions and cost-effective options. They will quote prices and lead times that meet customer requirements while adhering to SBU rules for pricing and manufacturing plant lead time guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Review customer requests for quotations, analyze specifications, and propose suitable product designs and solutions for applications.
- Analyze costing and build pricing for quotations.
- Participate in pre-bid technical clarification meetings with customers to ensure complete and final technical alignment to customer specifications.
- Prepare technical bids with clarifications and deviations, liaising with other functions as needed.
- Send and manage Request for Quotations (RFQs) to actuator manufacturers to complete automated valves quotations.
- Send and manage RFQs for missing costing to complete competitive costing assessments.
- Evaluate valves and other variances costing, building pricing following rules and in line with business strategy for product pricing.
- Ensure technical support and clarification to local Sales Offices.
- Manage Intercompany product quotations in compliance with Company and/or Business Unit Pricing Policies.
- Translate customer specifications into product information, including commercial Bill of Materials and document creation.
- Receipt and release of orders to manufacturing, creating Inspection and Test Plans, procedures, and online entry of valve technical parameters.
- Participate in post-order technical meetings with internal functions to ensure consistency with agreed conditions.
- Serve as the point of reference for Technical Queries during post-order contract review meetings.
- Support Internal Project Management teams with change orders.
- Provide solutions to the Procurement Department if cost estimations are incorrect.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field, preferably mechanical engineering.
- Fluent in English, with proficiency in one other language preferred.
- Previous experience in the flow control industry, with knowledge of valve and actuation applications.
- Understanding of fluid mechanics, electro-mechanical equipment, and metal physical/chemical properties.
- Familiarity with Pressure Equipment Directive (ASME, ANSI, API) standards, preferred.
- Able to read and understand technical specifications and literature.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in O&G valves industry or similar (piping, piping equipment).
- Able to travel in Belgium for 2-3 months for training.
