Front End Engineering Officer and Costing Specialist

The front-end engineering officer and costing specialist is responsible for supporting valves quotation work and submitting quotations to customers/distributors in a timely and accurate manner. This role requires reviewing customer specifications, offering suitable technical solutions, and providing cost-effective quotes.
Key Responsibilities- Review customer requests for quotations, analyze specifications, and propose suitable products design and solutions.
- Analyze costing and build pricing for valves quotations.
- Participate in pre-bid technical clarification meetings with customers.
- Prepare technical bids with clarifications and deviations.
- Send and manage Request for Quotations (RFQ) to actuator manufacturers.
- Complete the whole valves and other variances costing evaluation/builds pricing.
- Ensure technical support and clarification to local Sales Office.
- Manage Intercompany product quotation in compliance with Company and/or Business Unit Pricing Policies.
- Translate customer specifications into product information.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical area, mechanical engineering preferred.
- Fluent in English, one other language preferred.
- Previous experience in the flow control industry with the ability to understand valve and actuation applications.
- Good understanding of fluid mechanics, electro-mechanical equipment, and metal physical/chemical properties.
- Knowledge of Pressure Equipment Directive (ASME, ANSI, API) standards preferred.
- Able to read and understand technical specifications and literature.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
