We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Hardware Systems Engineer to lead our team in developing innovative Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge hardware systems that enable seamless communication between devices and applications.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and electronics engineering, with a minimum of 10-12 years of experience in R&D/ engineering, preferably in valve monitoring & control instruments, positioners, oil & gas, and industrial sectors. You should possess hands-on experience in analog & digital design, microcontroller interfacing, PCB design tools (Altium/Eagle/Orcad), and various communication protocols (HART, Fieldbus, Ethernet, Asi, Device Net, IO Link, Modbus, One-wire interface, Bluetooth, CAN). A proven track record of accelerating engineering deliverables by leveraging technology best practices, automation, and optimum resource management is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop new product ideas, identifying opportunities for improved functionality and performance.
- Lead cross-functional teams in technical meetings to drive project deliverables.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to review objectives and constraints of project deliverables.
- Identify and lead productivity improvement initiatives and cost reduction activities.
- Coach and develop team members, helping resolve dysfunctional behavior.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics or Electronics & Communication Engineering from a reputed institution.
- Minimum 10-12 years of experience in R&D/engineering, preferably in valve monitoring & control instruments, positioners, oil & gas, and industrial sectors.
- Hands-on experience in analog & digital design, microcontroller interfacing, PCB design tools, and various communication protocols.
- Strong knowledge of international EMC, SIL, Hazardous Location standards, ATEX, and Explosion-proof standards.
- Demonstrated experience in generating new ideas, discovering opportunities for improved product functionality and performance.
- Knowledge and experience in embedded software development, software development life cycle, Embedded C programming, code review, and programming standards.
- Sound knowledge of technologies like smart products (IIoT), sensors, communication gateways, and MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Assertive communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
