About the Position

The Sous Chef plays a pivotal role in maintaining an efficient kitchen operation by continually analyzing quality and cost of food production.

  • Maintain established standards and monitor time management to optimize performance.
  • Provide ongoing training to ensure staff adhere to corporate guidelines.
  • Ensure safe, quality food products and exceptional guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and comply with systems, procedures, rules, objectives, and timescales set by the organization.
  • Work within a technical area of expertise to improve service and product quality.
  • Achieve set goals in a non-assertive and efficient manner.
  • Conduct daily food tastings and address discrepancies immediately.
  • Monitor and assist Section Heads in preparing electronic food requisitions.
  • Maintain Public Health regulations at all times.
Essential Qualifications
  • Advanced culinary skills, leadership, and experience.
  • Minimum 8 years in the profession (quality hotels and restaurants).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a management role in a luxury hospitality establishment or upscale cruise line.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Possess ability to lead and make decisions.

This position requires a high level of crew morale and fair treatment of all staff members. The team should work together in a positive atmosphere.
