Job Title: Cloud Database Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to design, develop, and optimize complex database solutions on the Azure platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure cloud services and proficiency in scripting languages (such as Python, Shell, PowerShell, or Bash).

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.

  • Optimizing complex SQL queries for performance tuning.

  • Designing and implementing data integration and migration processes to Azure using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, or Logic Apps.

  • Collaborating with DevOps and cloud teams to support deployment and monitoring of database applications in Azure.

  • Writing automation scripts in Shell, PowerShell, Python, or Bash to manage data workflows, backups, or cloud resource provisioning.

  • Participating in database architecture design sessions and providing input on best practices and performance enhancements.

  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation, data dictionaries, and process diagrams.

  • Ensuring security and compliance standards are met within all data solutions.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience as a PL/SQL Developer.

  • Strong expertise in writing and optimizing complex SQL and PL/SQL code.

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services - specifically Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and/or Logic Apps.

  • Proven experience in data migration/integration on cloud platforms.

  • Scripting proficiency in at least one of the following: Python, Shell, PowerShell, or Bash.

  • Strong understanding of database performance tuning and query optimization techniques.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control, and infrastructure automation.

  • Good understanding of data security, cloud governance, and compliance standards.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Azure DevOps, ARM templates, or Terraform.

  • Exposure to containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Relevant certifications in Azure, Oracle, or Database Administration are a plus.
