About the Role

Sr. Associate - US Tax (1065/1120)

Job Summary

The primary responsibility of this position is to review and enhance tax knowledge for associates through client work and staying up-to-date with tax developments.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Display a good level of understanding of moderate and advanced tax concepts on partnership and corporate tax returns.
  • Ensure exceptional quality and timely delivery of tasks assigned to their team.
  • Train and mentor associates in US Corporate taxation.
  • Assist the team in tax research to develop a deep understanding of tax theory and principles and apply them appropriately on partnership and corporate tax returns to fulfill client requirements.
  • Enhance teamwork and communicate with teams across locations.
  • Provide assistance to managers on projects as requested.
  • Demonstrate independent judgment and decision-making capabilities when preparing tax returns.
Key Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in US Corporate taxation (1065/1120).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and coaching/mentoring abilities.
  • Good knowledge of moderate and complex tax concepts, including forms like 8865, 5471, 5472, and 1116, consolidated corporate tax returns and combined state returns.
  • Worked on US business tax returns (1065/1120) with complex situations, special allocations, M3 adjustments like prepaid expenses and accruals, provisioning and estimate calculations.
