Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead to join our Financial Reporting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of financial analysts and providing guidance on financial reporting and control procedures. The role will involve developing and implementing process control procedures, recommending solutions to recurring operations problems, and performing the work of the unit as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement process control procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Recommend solutions to recurring operations problems and provide guidance to team members.
- Perform the work of the unit as needed, including secondary review and controls, risks and mitigation.
- Lead and organize the work of the team, set short-term priorities, and ensure timely and accurate completion of work.
- Responsible for delivery of all client reports accurately and within specified timeframes.
- Maintain and monitor Key Performance Indicators for the functional areas under control and lay down corrective measures to improve indicators that have breached standards.
- Ensure team is familiar with and understands requirements described in the Clients' SLA's.
- Manage the performance of employees within the team and ensure continued training and staff development.
Requirements
- Strong accounting and financial services work experience or equivalent knowledge.
- Demonstrate through examples/evidence of strong operations knowledge including secondary review and controls, risks and mitigation.
- Demonstrate through examples/evidence day-to-day team management, mentor/coach team members, and sharing feedback.
- Demonstrate through examples/evidence analytical ability, problem-solving, and escalation of issues.
- Intermediate proficiency of MS Office specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrate through examples/evidence excellent written and verbal language skills, ability to independently address technical and non-technical issues, knowledge share/training sessions conducted, proactively troubleshoot and manage escalations, and work with global teams.
