Role Overview

As a Senior Financial Reporting Team Lead, you will work within the Outsourcing Department, serving the Operations function for a range of Investment Management clients. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and implementing process control procedures, recommending solutions to recurring operations problems, and performing the work of the unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement process control procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.
  • Recommend solutions to recurring operations problems and improve processes to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Perform the work of the unit, serving as backup where volume or absence warrants.
  • Develop industry/product knowledge and continually aim to improve the service offered to clients and the systems and processes to achieve efficiencies and manage risk.
  • Manage the performance of employees within the team, ensuring fair allocation of tasks and providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Ensure continued training and staff development, monitoring the performance and development of individuals within the team.
  • Interact effectively with home country teams in resolving exceptions arising out of daily processing and to improve service delivery.
Requirements
  • Strong accounting/financial services/capital markets work experience or equivalent knowledge.
  • Demonstrate through examples/evidence of strong operations knowledge, including secondary review & controls, risks & mitigation.
  • Demonstrate through examples/evidence day-to-day team management, mentor/coach team members, and sharing feedback.
  • Demonstrate through examples/evidence analytical ability, problem-solving, and escalation of issues.
  • Intermediate proficiency of MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrate through examples/evidence excellent written and verbal language skills, ability to independently address technical & non-technical issues, knowledge share/training sessions conducted, proactively troubleshoot and manage escalations, and work with global teams.
About You
  • At least 24 months of experience as a Technical Coordinator/Associate Consultant.
  • Experience in leading staff and processes in the financial services industry, preferably in Investment Banking or Investment Management.
  • Strong understanding of Accounting/Reporting/Fee Billing concepts and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
