Regional Design Director

About the Role:

This leadership position is responsible for overseeing regional design operations and maintaining client relationships at a strategic level. The successful candidate will drive architectural and interior design strategy across all projects in the Gurugram region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regional Design Leadership:
    • Develop and implement architectural and interior design strategies to deliver high-quality designs on time and within budget.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, MEP, and PMC teams, to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Project Oversight & Execution:
    • Oversee all design phases from concept to construction documentation, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain high standards of design innovation, space planning, and user-centric design.
  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Interface with clients, real estate consultants, and vendors to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
    • Handle design-related RFIs, change requests, and design clarifications on-site.
  • Team Management & Mentoring:
    • Lead and mentor a regional team of architects, interior designers, and 3D visualizers.
    • Conduct regular design reviews, performance appraisals, and internal training sessions.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
    • Ensure adherence to statutory norms, building codes, and regulatory approvals.
    • Mitigate project and design risks through proactive planning and implementation.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Architecture or related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience in architecture, with a proven track record of leading design teams and delivering complex projects.
  • Strong understanding of commercial and workplace sectors, with expertise in programming, space utilization, and modern workplace solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interface with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), and MS Office.
