Job Role: Industrial Water Treatment Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Water Treatment Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in process design, engineering, and project execution for industrial water and wastewater treatment projects.

The selected individual will be responsible for preparing preliminary and detailed process designs for various treatment systems, including pretreatment, oil removal, biological treatment, reverse osmosis, and chemical dosing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and hydraulic profiles for industrial water treatment projects.
  • Optimize membrane and filter sizing based on feedwater quality, recovery targets, and performance guarantees.
  • Prepare technical specifications, datasheets, and scope of work for pumps, valves, and other engineering equipment.
  • Develop control philosophies, operational manuals, and process documentation for smooth project execution, handover, and operations support.
  • Collaborate with automation engineers to develop, review, and validate process control logic.
  • Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, and decision-making processes.
  • Review and prepare technical bid evaluations, vendor comparisons, and document reviews.
  • Travel to client/consultant offices and project sites for design approvals, technical discussions, commissioning support, and troubleshooting.
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in process design and engineering related to industrial water & wastewater treatment projects.
  • Expertise in RO and UF membrane design using vendor tools (Wave, IMS Design, Toray DS, Inge, etc.).
  • Proficiency in process technology selection and process calculations, including hydraulic analysis, pressure drop calculations, line sizing, and membrane/filter sizing.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to travel for short-term and long-term assignments.
