Business Development General Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Business Development General Manager to lead our retail business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the growth and development of our franchise vertical.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, with experience in setting up processes and leading teams. You will be expected to develop and implement effective strategies to drive new store openings, manage existing stores, and identify opportunities for expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish the Business Development vertical and drive its growth.
  • Develop a deep understanding of COCO, COFO, FOCO, and FOFO business models.
  • Identify and analyze competition business models and franchisee policies.
  • Build strong relationships with existing franchisees and adapt and implement effective franchisee sourcing strategies.
  • Source properties through a network of brokers and market intermediaries.
  • Lead and manage a team, including handling 1-2 team members in the past.
  • Thoroughly understand Profit & Loss statements and develop an Annual Business Development plan.
  • Ensure NSO (new store opening) profitability and open new stores in compliance with the Business Development business plan.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in a related field.
  • MBA or equivalent qualification.
  • Strategic intent and start-up mindset.
  • Understanding of retail operations and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
