As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for analyzing and documenting business and technical requirements for data integration use cases involving IBM ITX. This involves interpreting and mapping HIPAA X12 EDI transaction sets to system data models and ITX transformations.

You will work closely with solution architects to define interface specifications, source-to-target mappings, and validation rules. Your tasks will include preparing Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), Data Mapping Specs, and interface control documents (ICDs). Additionally, you will support ITX developers in translating business requirements into technical design artifacts and testable maps.

In this role, you will conduct gap analysis, impact analysis, and facilitate design walkthroughs with business and technical teams. You will also collaborate with QA teams to define test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and assist in defect triage. Furthermore, you will coordinate across cross-functional teams (product, ops, compliance, providers) to ensure integration requirements are met.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as a Technical or Integration Business Analyst. They should have strong working knowledge of HIPAA X12 EDI transaction sets and experience working with or supporting IBM ITX projects. Proficiency in analyzing flat files, XML, JSON, and CSV formats is required, along with hands-on experience with data flow diagrams, interface specs, and business rules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysis and documentation of business and technical requirements

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical or Integration Business Analyst
  • Strong working knowledge of HIPAA X12 EDI transaction sets
  • Experience working with or supporting IBM ITX projects
  • Proficiency in analyzing flat files, XML, JSON, and CSV formats
  • Hands-on experience with data flow diagrams, interface specs, and business rules
  • Experience in Medicaid, MMIS, or healthcare systems
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with API-based integrations, SFTP transfers, and middleware technologies
  • Understanding of integration architecture (e.g., ESB, message queues)
  • Experience working alongside ITX developers, architects, and QA engineers
  • Knowledge of data validation tools, encryption/security standards, and compliance requirements
