Finance Associate Role

This role involves working closely with clients to understand their investment needs in structured finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Portfolio Management: Review legal agreements and interpret servicer or trustees' reports.
  • Risk Monitoring: Support clients in assessing risk and exposure of transactions.
  • Data Analysis: Calculate and monitor key metrics, including covenants, concentration limits, eligibility criteria, and Borrowing Base calculations.
  • Operations Leadership: Lead daily operations and ensure timely deliverables.
  • Team Collaboration: Liaise with the Business Analyst and Implementation team to ensure accurate data and logic on proprietary platforms.
  • Talent Development: Mentor junior team members to improve learning curves.
  • Portfolio Performance: Provide enhanced surveillance and share critical aspects concerning overall portfolio performance proactively.
  • Process Improvement: Assist in standardising processes to increase efficiencies and setting up SOPS around deliverables.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Broad Understanding: Structured Finance products, corporate credit landscape, ABL, CLO, and Middle Market Portfolio Financing.
  • Financial Knowledge: In-depth understanding of core financial and accounting concepts.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modelling using MS Excel.
  • Database Expertise: Understanding of various financial databases, including Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Factiva.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Pressure Management: Ability to work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
  • Industry Experience: Prior experience of at least 3-5 years with an Investment Bank, Investment Management firm, or Financial Advisory firm is desired.
