Job Overview:
The Assistant Manager - Raw Material Procurement plays a pivotal role in ensuring the uninterrupted supply of quality raw materials, primarily Hot Rolled Coils, hot rolled plates, and coated steel.
- This role entails developing and executing procurement strategies for key raw materials based on production demands and market conditions.
- Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to secure the best terms while maintaining a robust supply chain is also crucial.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Developing procurement plans that optimize resource allocation and minimize costs.
- Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolving any procurement-related issues.
- Collaborating with production, quality control, finance, and plant planning teams to align procurement with manufacturing needs and quality standards.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Materials Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in raw material procurement, preferably in the steel or manufacturing industries.
- Strong knowledge of HRC, coated steel, hot rolled plates, and supply chain dynamics.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
