Benefits Configuration Specialist - Cloud HCM Expertise Required.

About the Position

This is a highly specialized role requiring advanced configuration and implementation expertise in Benefits solutions, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and an exceptional employee experience. As a Benefits Configuration Specialist, you will take ownership of designing, configuring, and implementing Benefits configurations with precision and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver end-to-end Benefits implementations as a specialist;
  • Review client requirements and configure Programs, Plan Types, Plans, and Options to meet business needs precisely;
  • Configure Annual Goal Amount Plans and handle mid-year balance adjustments effectively;
  • Manage end-to-end Benefits data loads using HDL and HSDL, including participant enrollments, dependents, contacts, and designations accurately;
  • Troubleshoot data load issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with business teams for resolution efficiently;
  • Define and configure Derived Factors, Eligibility Profiles, and related compensation structures professionally;
  • Configure Rates, Coverages, Life Events, and Self-Service pages, including rule-based personalization aligned with design discussions expertly;
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors (e.g., ADP, Kronos, BenefiX, Known2U) for benefits, payroll, and time administration services effectively;
  • Support ACA reporting, ensuring compliance and accurate data generation seamlessly;
  • Develop and maintain complex Fast Formulas, including Rate Periodizations and Suspension Rules precisely;
  • Handle multiple concurrent assignments independently while delivering high-quality outcomes consistently;
  • Participate in testing cycles (SIT, UAT) and support post-go-live activities and user adoption successfully.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline;
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Oracle Cloud HCM, with specialization in the Benefits module;
  • Proven experience configuring eligibility rules, life events, and rates along with complex Fast Formulas effectively;
  • Expertise in data conversion techniques using HDL and HSDL accurately;
  • Deep knowledge of benefits processes, compliance, and configuration best practices professionally;
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot configuration and data issues efficiently;
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating closely with onshore teams and clients effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with benefits-related vendors such as ADP, Kronos, BenefiX, or Known2U;
  • Exposure to ACA compliance and reporting;
  • Familiarity with other HCM modules such as Core HR or Payroll;
  • Prior experience in client-facing roles, conducting workshops, and supporting user training.
