Commercial Banking Expert

The role of a Commercial Banking Expert is to act as a solutions expert/advisor to internal and external stakeholders, providing strategic insights, process consulting, and domain expertise across commercial banking operations.

This includes:

  • Domain consultant and advisor in commercial banking engagements across client implementations, solution design, and process improvements.
  • Thorough understanding of the banking delivery function, with deep understanding of maturities, platforms, geographical requirements, clients support systems, accelerators in the ecosystem.
  • Translate complex banking processes into actionable insights and business requirements for BPS functions.
  • Own RFP/RFI responses, solution creation, and go-to-market strategies for commercial banking offerings.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives (e.g., process reengineering, automation, Gen AI, workflow orchestration) in client banking operations.
  • Collaborate with delivery and technology teams to ensure banking domain alignment in solution implementation and ongoing service delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in commercial banking domain, with exposure to one or more areas like corporate lending, trade finance, cash & payments, risk & compliance, client onboarding from operations standpoint.
  • Previous experience in consulting, transformation, or solution architect role within a BPS function is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of banking processes, systems, and compliance/regulatory environment.
  • Very good understanding of digital banking trends, banking platforms, automation, analytics, and FinTech collaboration models is a plus.
  • Ability to create and deliver impactful presentations, capability decks, and process views.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree with Master's degree in management, or related field.
