Job Title:

Financial Operations Manager

Job Description:
  • Have proven work experience as an operations manager with a mid-size organization who took charge of the financial health of your company by administering accounting operations to meet legal requirements.
  • Our ideal candidate demonstrates interest in managing accounting activities, MIS reporting including bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. You should also have excellent organizational skills and be able to handle time-sensitive tasks.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Supporting book keeping , MIS reporting & AR/AP activities (US Accounting)
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
  • Supports corporate budget and forecasting activities.
  • Monitors and analyses department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Advises team members regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
  • Work with the company auditor to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.
  • Supervise the general ledger group to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • Ensure strict compliance with outlined processes and standards and follow industry best practices.
  • Take ownership of their own work as well as of their team and be accountable for meeting obligations of the company.
  • Responsible for staff scheduling including work assignments, employee training, and employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, backup for absent employees.
  • Provide effective, constructive, and timely feedback to their team, set the bar and help their teams to meet and/or exceed it.
  • Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
  • Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance professional development of staff.

Experience and Skills

Minimum

  • Good knowledge of US GAAP ,accounting procedures, taxation, and other statutory and legal matters enabling to perform core accounting and finance functions effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral), relationship-building skills, and ability to lead and develop others.
  • Hands-on experience in QuickBooks, Zoho and Microsoft Office.

Preferred

  • Immediate Joiner, Qualified / Semi Qualified CA /CMA
  • Experience in IT /Service Sector
  • Knowledge in US & Indian Taxes

Minimum Qualifications

  • Overall, 4 to 7 years of experience in finance/accounts with 2-3 years of People Management experience
  • Having a strong financial and accounting background with a passion for helping teams get to the next level.
  • Commerce Graduate, preferably Qualified /Semi-Qualified CA/CMA
