Job Description

The role of the Assistant Treasurer is pivotal in ensuring timely and accurate cash management, as well as supporting global financial operations.

This key member of the Treasury Operations team will be responsible for managing and optimizing the organization's short-term liquidity.

Some of the daily cash management tasks include monitoring cash balances, bank reporting, and maintaining treasury dashboards. Additionally, the candidate will prepare detailed cash flow forecasts and conduct variance analysis between projected and actual cash flow statements.

The candidate will also be responsible for monitoring and managing the organization's bank relationships and overall liquidity, as well as overseeing and managing the organization's debt schedule to ensure all obligations are met on time.

Collaboration with the Finance and Operations teams will be essential for gathering data for cash forecasting and facilitating banking transactions and approvals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize the organization's short-term liquidity
  • Monitor and manage the organization's bank relationships and overall liquidity
  • Oversee and manage the organization's debt schedule
  • Prepare detailed cash flow forecasts and conduct variance analysis
  • Monitor cash balances and bank reporting
  • Maintain treasury dashboards and facilitate banking transactions and approvals

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing a treasury or cash management function
  • Proficiency in financial and cash management principles
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced computer software skills, particularly with Excel and Google Sheets
  • Ability to handle sensitive information appropriately, including maintaining SOX and audit trails
  • Interest in process improvement, with a focus on defining and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and increasing process efficiencies
