Job Title:

Senior Accountant

Job Description
  • Responsible for managing the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  • Lead and execute month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing accruals and depreciation.
  • Prepare and analyze various financial statements, including profit & loss accounts and balance sheets.
  • Generate management reports and variance analysis to aid decision-making.
  • Supervise and review work related to accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform complex bank reconciliations and inter-company reconciliations regularly.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and manage depreciation calculations.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), MBA/PGDM, or Master's in Commerce (M.Com).
  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Proficiency in English and local languages (Marathi and Hindi) essential for effective communication.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
