Key Role Summary

This is a multifaceted role demanding an extremely commercial and analytical individual who is prepared to dive into the intricacies of financial management. The job combines responsibility for overseeing the Finance function for our Indian subsidiary with a broader mandate acting as a financial analyst for our UK and International Commercial teams.

The analytical aspect of the role entails measuring and analyzing business performance, including forecasting future projections, and disseminating this information through accurate dashboards and KPIs with subsequent comments and recommendations to internal clients enabling them to make informed decisions aligned with the company's financial objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Planning and execution of audits of Internal Financial control over financial reporting and preparing internal audit reports.
  • Responsibility for all accounting-related matters.
  • Monitoring financial details to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Financial reporting and budgeting, reporting to senior management.
  • Reviewing company financial reports and identifying opportunities to reduce costs and manage budgets effectively.
  • Responsible for controlling income, cash flow, and expenditure. Collecting, interpreting, and reviewing financial information.
  • Preparing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses, etc.
  • Developing strategies to minimize financial risk.
  • Responsibility for managing the procurement process, maintaining records of debtors and creditors, and responsible for payroll management.
  • Preparation and analysis of monthly Management Information System (MIS).
  • Providing ROC compliances, annual filings, and incorporation of companies.

Commercial Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Daily sales reporting.
  • Analyzing financial data and creating/maintaining financial models for decision-making support.
  • Reporting on financial performance and preparing for regular leadership reviews.
  • Analyzing past results, performing variance analysis, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Representing Finance within the UK Commercial team to ensure that business planning, accounting, and control are integrated into the decision-making process within the Commercial function.
  • Participating in Finance and multi-function project teams.
  • Collaborating closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Financial Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Identifying and driving process improvements, including creating standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
  • Benchmarking analysis.
  • Preparing business cases.

Person Specification:

  • Strong English language skills.
  • Qualified accountant.
  • 5+ years pharmaceutical experience preferable.
  • International company experience.
  • Management experience including liaison with internal and external stakeholders such as senior management, auditors, suppliers, banks, insurance providers, contractors, etc.
  • Highly analytical.
  • Proven track record of delivering results.
  • Self-disciplined, results-focused with a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible approach to work to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Experience using analytical tools such as Power BI and CRM systems.
