Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee software asset management with a strong understanding of open-source software and related contracts.

This mid-management role involves ensuring compliance, optimizing usage, and managing client-facing delivery teams.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT or project management/service delivery, operational/software asset management, or consulting.

  • Manage software licensing and SAM IT networks, applications, and infrastructure.
  • Project Management Execution and delivery of client engagements.
  • Lead and coach more junior members, fostering a dynamic environment where remote working is required.
  • Review and apply licensing metrics to complex IT environments.
  • Client-oriented, professional services mindset.
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and take initiative/make decisions under pressure.
  • Understanding of IT Process, IT Infrastructure (applications, databases, and operating system) and related technologies.
  • Ability to identify engagement issues/risks and the confidence to pursue solutions with key internal or external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include interacting with software publishers, internal business teams for software license compliance & terms, and overseeing the inventory and tracking of open-source software.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Should be a Graduate/Post Graduate from a recognized University.

Understands and masters the software licensing for at least three big publishers like Microsoft, Oracle, VMWare, SAP etc.

Robust SAM experience, ability to handle Software Audits independently.

SAM Tool Knowledge, ELP Creation/License Compliance Position, Contract Management.

Microsoft Certified Professional Big 4 experience and training, 5 to 7 years of SAM or Post graduate degree or higher.

4 to 5 years experience in IT or project management/service delivery, operational/software asset management or consulting.

Legal Awareness: Basic knowledge of software licensing agreements and compliance standards.
