Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing curriculum aligned with international standards
  • Making relevant connections between learning areas and global scenarios
  • Demonstrating knowledge of content and pedagogy in lesson planning
  • Identifying teaching objectives and specifying how they will be transacted in class

Instructional Strategies:

  • Designing coherent instructions for independent thinking
  • Utilizing various teaching techniques and tools to address different learners
  • Creating educational supports, including reading material and visual/audio accompaniments
  • Collaborating with school staff to provide academic and non-academic support
  • Conducting remedial sessions for students as required

Assessment and Evaluation:

  • Transacting student assessments as designed
  • Issuing grades, progress reports, and report cards
  • Assigning work and correcting student assignments
  • Encouraging and monitoring student progress

Culture and Discipline:

  • Creating a welcoming classroom culture
  • Integrating our school's theme into teaching and learning
  • Managing student behavior and establishing rules and procedures
  • Maintaining discipline in accordance with school policies

Professional Development:

  • Attending continuing professional development sessions
  • Communicating with school staff and parents/guardians
  • Organizing assemblies, trips, and events
  • Planning and executing educational activities

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Education or relevant subject area
  • Experience in teaching IGCSE or other international curricula
  • Good understanding of IGCSE framework, assessment methods, and syllabi
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
