MarkLogic Database Administrator

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator with experience in large-scale production environments to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable database solutions for high-performance applications.
  • Develop and maintain complex data structures, ensuring optimal query performance and data integrity.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot database issues, implementing effective resolutions to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement automated backup and recovery processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest MarkLogic features and technologies, applying knowledge to improve system efficiency and reliability.

Requirements
  • Mastery of MarkLogic database management systems, including security models, backup/restore mechanisms, and query performance tuning.
  • Proven experience with Linux operating systems and strong command-line skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Possess excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in database administration, preferably in a large-scale production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with other NoSQL systems, such as MongoDB, Couchbase, or Cassandra.
  • Familiarity with automation techniques and tools, such as Python or Ansible.
  • Knowledge of performance monitoring tools and techniques.
