Senior Data Strategy Lead

Wowjobs is seeking a seasoned data strategy professional to lead the development and implementation of strategic plans for delivering complex data projects.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and implement best practices and standards for data project execution.
  • Monitor project health through key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and governance reviews.
  • Ensure risk management, escalation protocols, and change control processes are in place and effective.
  • Lead data strategy creation and implementation to support business goals and drive value.
  • Develop scalable and secure data architecture for data pipelines, warehousing, and processing systems.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate tools, platforms (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Snowflake), and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven track record of ensuring delivery excellence through well-defined methodologies, standardized practices, and quality assurance frameworks.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with experience in guiding cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Experience with data engineering, migration, modernization, and governance with expertise in data strategy, architecture, and engineering.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data engineering principles, technologies, and trends. They will be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and provide strategic guidance on data-driven initiatives. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing data strategies that align with business goals and objectives. They will also lead the development of scalable and secure data architectures for data pipelines, warehousing, and processing systems.

The Senior Data Strategy Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of data projects. This includes collaborating with data engineers, data scientists, product managers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements, design data architectures, and implement data solutions.
