Job Title: Team Leader - Private Equity Administration
As a senior professional in private equity administration, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our fund's financial operations. This includes preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports, providing support for investor relations activities, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping and reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting functions, including book and review journal entries into our accounting system, reconcile accounts.
- Prepare and review fund-level financial statements, including the consolidated balance sheet, income statement, statement of partner's capital, schedule of investments, footnotes to financial statements, and cash flows.
- Prepare and review investor capital calls and distributions notices.
- Understand fund agreements to determine their impact on reporting.
- Review the work of team members and provide feedback to ensure timely delivery of quality output.
- Anticipate, communicate, and escalate issues to your manager in a timely manner.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and innovative thinker with excellent verbal and written communication skills to join our team. You should have a high level of proficiency in Excel and a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in private equity or hedge fund accounting.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting/ICWA/CA/MBA/CPA.
- High level of proficiency in Excel.
- Attention to detail, innovative thinking, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player instincts with the ability to see a project to conclusion with little follow-up.
- Superb sense of client service with the ability to appropriately exercise professional skepticism and judgment.
- Familiarity with various private equity legal and investment structures.
- Familiarity with various waterfall models.
- Experience using partnership accounting applications (e.g., Investran).
