Private Equity Fund Operations Specialist

This role involves administering private equity funds and other alternative investment vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and an eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform daily, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting functions, book journal entries into accounting applications, reconcile accounts
- Prepare fund level financial statements including consolidated balance sheets, income statements, statements of partners capital, schedules of investments, footnotes to financial statements, and cash flows
- Prepare investor capital calls, distributions notices
- Understand fund agreements to determine impact on reporting
- Anticipate, communicate, and escalate issues to supervisors in a timely manner
- Work on special and ad hoc projects for internal initiatives and external clients
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 0-2 years of accounting experience in fund accounting
- Attention to detail, innovative and analytical thinking with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team player instincts with ability to see a project to conclusion with little follow-up
- Superb sense of client service with ability to appropriately exercise professional skepticism and judgment
