Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This role involves overseeing the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts from customers or clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective debt collection strategies.
  • Monitor overdue payments, identify actions to take, and negotiate payment plans.
  • Coordinate with sales, customer service to resolve billing inquiries and maintain accurate records of collection activities.
  • Analyze delinquent accounts, prepare reports on collections status, and implement credit policies to minimize late payments risk.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel, external agencies for complex cases, and stay informed about relevant laws to ensure compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; Master's degree may be preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable management, supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to accounts receivable and collections.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to assess data trends and develop collection strategies.
  • Familiarity with collection software and tools for managing accounts receivable.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy, and handle challenging situations professionally.
