Job Overview

A Sensor & Machine Vision Engineer plays a pivotal role in harnessing the power of cutting-edge technology to drive industry growth. This position involves designing, developing, and implementing innovative sensor systems that seamlessly integrate with machine vision capabilities.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of laser triangulation, ultrasonic NDT, and machine vision systems, as well as the ability to design practical mechanical setups. Proficiency in Python, OpenCV, DAQ basics, and PLC connections is also essential.

This role requires the engineer to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in high-heat industrial environments and have a willingness to get hands-on when necessary.

">Responsibilities
  • Design and develop custom sensor systems that meet specific client requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to sensor performance and machine vision integration.
  • Provide training and support to clients on the proper use and maintenance of sensor systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in sensor technology.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in sensors, automation, or machine vision.
  • Knowledge of laser triangulation, ultrasonic NDT, or machine vision systems.
  • Ability to design practical mechanical setups (mounts, fixtures, enclosures).
  • Comfortable with Python/OpenCV/DAQ basics and PLC connections.
  • Willingness to get hands dirty in high-heat industrial environments.
  • Based in India, with flexibility to travel for deployments.
  • Available ~20 hrs/week (flexible schedule).
