Job Title:

Geographic Information System Developer

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Geographic Information System (GIS) Developer. This is an exciting opportunity to design and implement GIS solutions using cutting-edge technologies.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop GIS solutions using GeoServer and ArcGIS Server
  • Optimize map services for high-performance delivery
  • Maintain and administer geodatabases using PostGIS and ArcGIS GeoDBs
  • Develop expertise in open-source GIS software like GeoServer, PostGIS, GDAL, GeoPandas and GeoSpark
  • Program in languages such as Python, Java, and TypeScript
  • Work with ESRI APIs and tools (ArcObjects, Geoprocessing, ArcGIS Desktop/Server/Portal, ArcGIS Online)
  • Develop skills in web frameworks such as Angular, React, Node.js, and Openlayers
  • Administer SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in hybrid on-premise and cloud environments
  • Experience in the upstream oil/gas industry
  • Expertise in technologies such as Google Big Query, Airflow, Elastic Search, Spark, Kafka, Git, Azure DevOps, Terraform, VS Code, Kubernetes
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, process critical data, establish facts, and draw quality conclusions
  • Ability to quickly learn and debug large complex systems in ambiguous situations
  • Outgoing personality and a good team player
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in communicating with people at various levels of the organization
