Underwriting Enablement Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Underwriting Enablement Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for developing training programs and quality standards that enable underwriters to effectively review and correct AI model responses.

Job Description:

The Underwriting Enablement Specialist will work closely with data and model teams to design curricula, run bootcamps, calibrate reviewers, and feed structured feedback to improve the AI quickly and safely. The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of experience in retail/home-loan underwriting and proven training or mentorship experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop training programs to teach underwriting basics to non-specialists, including FOIR/DTI, LTV, income stability, bureau interpretation, documentation hygiene, and fraud red flags.
  • Train anchors to curate AI outputs by reviewing model responses, applying rules, correcting decisions, adding reason codes, and documenting edge cases.
  • Create quality rubrics, including acceptance criteria, pass/fail checklists, quick-fix macros, escalation rules, and calibration guidelines.
  • Define data needs from cases, capture missing rules/thresholds, and draft data-needs specs for synthetic data generation.
Requirements:
  • 4-8 years of experience in retail/home-loan underwriting with hands-on decisioning and policy interpretation.
  • Proven training or mentorship experience.
  • Strong grasp of calculations & documents: FOIR/DTI/LTV/EMI, income proofs, bank statements, credit bureau reports.
  • Fluent in English & Telugu.
