About the Role

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of a cafeteria or food service operation. This involves managing staff, maintaining facilities, and ensuring that all operations are running smoothly and efficiently.

This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. The ideal candidate will be able to lead and motivate a team, maintain accurate records, and implement process improvements as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate daily operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and facility maintenance
  • Develop and implement processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Maintain accurate records, including inventory levels, financial reports, and employee performance evaluations
  • Communicate effectively with staff, customers, and vendors to ensure seamless operations
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a related field, such as hospitality or business
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and make sound decisions quickly
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with software applications
