IT Applications Manager Role

The role of IT Applications Manager involves overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise applications, ensuring high availability, reliability, and security. It requires managing vendors, negotiating contracts, and leading a team to drive integration and data management.

Key Responsibilities:Application Management & Operations:
  • Manage the deployment, configuration, upgrades, integration, and performance optimization of enterprise applications.
  • Ensure the security and reliability of all academic and administrative applications.
  • Oversee issue resolution, incident management, and root cause analysis for application-related problems.
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Partner with academic leaders and administrative heads to understand requirements and deliver effective IT solutions.
  • Act as the primary liaison with application vendors and service providers.
  • Lead user adoption initiatives, including training and support.
Strategic Planning & Governance:
  • Define and execute the application roadmap in alignment with institutional digital transformation goals.
  • Establish governance standards, documentation, and compliance with IT policies.
  • Recommend and implement innovative technology solutions to enhance teaching, learning, and operations.
Integration & Data Management:
  • Drive seamless integration of CRM, SIS, LMS, ERP, HRMS, and other systems.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across platforms.
  • Maintain compliance with data privacy, cybersecurity, and higher education regulatory requirements.
