Lead BIM Specialist

The role of a Lead BIM Specialist is pivotal in driving the adoption and implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies to enhance design, planning, and execution of precast construction projects.

This position supports business unit's strategic focus on delivering innovative infrastructure solutions by leveraging advanced modeling tools like Tekla to optimize project workflows, improve accuracy, and ensure seamless collaboration across engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Manage BIM Models: Lead development and management of BIM models for precast construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and project management, to integrate BIM workflows into project execution.
  • Utilize Tekla Software: Utilize Tekla software to create detailed 3D models, perform clash detection, and generate construction documentation.
  • Establish BIM Standards: Establish and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and best practices within business unit.
  • Provide Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and training to team members on BIM tools and methodologies.
  • Coordinate with Stakeholders: Coordinate with external stakeholders, including contractors and consultants, to ensure alignment on BIM deliverables.
  • Monitor and Evaluate: Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of BIM implementation, identifying areas for improvement and driving continuous innovation.
  • Support Strategic Planning: Support Head Engineering in strategic planning and decision-making related to BIM adoption and technology investments.
  • Ensure Timely Delivery: Ensure timely delivery of BIM outputs to meet project milestones and client expectations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Tekla Software: Proficiency in Tekla software and other BIM tools, with strong portfolio of precast modeling projects.
  • Minimum 12 Years of Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience in BIM management, with focus on infrastructure or construction projects.
  • Demonstrated Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in implementing BIM workflows and standards in large-scale projects.

BIM Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive adoption and implementation of Building Information Modeling technologies. This includes developing and managing BIM models, collaborating with teams to integrate BIM workflows, and establishing BIM standards and protocols.

Strong portfolio of precast modeling projects and demonstrated expertise in implementing BIM workflows and standards are required. Additionally, proficiency in Tekla software and other BIM tools is necessary.
