Job Opportunity:

Our company is seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Quality Control Specialist to join our team.

Location: Karnataka, India (requires frequent travel across coffee estates and curing works)

Employment Type: Full-time

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our coffee procurement process. This role involves evaluating beans before purchase, conducting quality checks from farm collection to curing and sorting, and cupping and evaluating samples to ensure consistency with export specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Visit coffee farms and curing works across Karnataka to evaluate beans before purchase.
  2. Carry out quality checks from farm collection to curing and sorting.
  3. Cup and evaluate samples to ensure consistency with export specifications.
  4. Prepare traceability and quality reports for each lot procured.
  5. Coordinate procurement activities once contracts with suppliers are finalized.
  6. Manage logistics from farm to curing works and up to export stage (sampling, weighment, warehousing).
  7. Maintain strong relationships with farmers, suppliers, and curing units.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in coffee (procurement, quality control, cupping, or farm-level operations).
  • Strong knowledge of green coffee beans, grading, curing processes, and cup quality analysis.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation for traceability and compliance.
  • Familiarity with export-related logistics and processes is an advantage.
  • Fluency in Kannada (mandatory); basic English for reporting and supplier/buyer coordination.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Karnataka's coffee-growing regions.
  • High integrity, reliability, and a genuine passion for coffee.
