Acuity Knowledge Partners is a leading provider of high-quality research and knowledge solutions to global clients. We are currently seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to join our team.

As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating revenue through various channels, including digital sales, event sponsorships, and bespoke roundtable discussions. You will also be tasked with identifying new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.

We offer a competitive salary of $150,000 - $200,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have:

  • A proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in the market research or knowledge process outsourcing industry.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A strong understanding of the company's offerings and the ability to articulate their value to potential clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Meeting or exceeding annual sales goals.
  • Expanding the roster of key clients and maintaining close engagement with them.
  • Keeping a strong sales pipeline and making accurate predictions about new ventures, income, and the timeline of sales activities.
  • Representing the organization at trade shows and conferences.
  • Conducting in-depth analyses of the business pipeline, including reviewing RFPs and monitoring live project data across teams.
  • Enhancing existing client partnerships and establishing new ones, advocating for the company at the executive level within client organizations.
  • Identifying chances to cross-sell services across different regional relationships.
  • Leading the drafting of proposals and responses to RFPs/RFQs.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • An MBA or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in market research or knowledge process outsourcing.
  • Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
