Production Planning and Control Specialist

We are seeking a results-driven Production Planning and Control professional to oversee production scheduling, material planning, inventory management, and MIS reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain production schedules aligned with sales and operational requirements.
  • Forecast raw material, packaging, and manpower requirements.
  • Monitor capacity planning to prevent bottlenecks and optimize throughput.
Material Planning & Coordination
  • Share detailed material requirements with procurement teams.
  • Coordinate with procurement and vendors to ensure timely supply of raw and packaging materials.
  • Track material lead times and ensure Just-in-Time (JIT) availability.
Inventory Management
  • Maintain optimal levels of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and implement optimization strategies.
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure storage compliance with food safety standards.
Production Control
  • Track production progress and ensure schedule adherence.
  • Identify deviations, delays, and initiate corrective measures.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
MIS Reporting & Analytics
  • Generate accurate MIS reports and dashboards using ERP systems.
  • Analyze plant performance metrics (efficiency, delivery, inventory turnover).
  • Collaborate with IT/ERP teams to streamline reporting processes.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in production planning, inventory/material management, and ERP-based reporting, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics).
  • Advanced MS Excel; data visualization (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and inventory control.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards (FSSAI, HACCP, ISO).
