Billing Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • We seek a seasoned professional to set up, lead and manage a new Revenue Cycle Management team.
Role Overview

This position requires end-to-end knowledge of the US healthcare revenue cycle, including medical billing, coding, prior authorizations, denial management and insurance verification. The ideal candidate will be confident in establishing processes, training staff and ensuring compliant and high-quality delivery for US clients.

Responsibilities:Team Setup & Leadership
  • Recruit, train and manage a team of 4+ experienced billers and coders.
  • Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows and performance metrics from scratch.
Revenue Cycle Management Operations
  • Medical Billing & Coding
  • Prior Authorizations
  • Payer Credentialing
  • Insurance Verification
  • Charge Entry & Payment Posting
  • Denials Management
  • Accounts Receivable (AR) Follow-ups
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and process efficiency.
Performance Monitoring & Quality Control
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs): Days in AR, First Pass Resolution Rate and Denial %.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks to enhance revenue cycle efficiency.
Client Communication & Stakeholder Liaison
  • Liaise directly with US stakeholders for process updates and escalations.
  • Provide regular reports and actionable insights.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • 10+ years of experience in US RCM, with 3+ years in a billing manager/supervisor position.
  • Strong expertise in medical billing, coding, prior authorization, denial management and insurance verification.
  • Familiarity with major Practice Management/Electronic Health Record (PM/EHR) systems.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership presence and decision-making skills.
