Job Title: Chemical Research Consultant

We are seeking an experienced chemical research consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business research and consulting, with expertise in chemicals and materials domain.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Conducting in-depth market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities.

• Mentoring and training junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Key qualifications include:

• Bachelor's and/or master's degree in a relevant field such as chemical engineering, materials science, or related fields.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in business research or consulting, preferably in the chemicals and materials domain.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality research and consulting projects on time and within budget.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strive to achieve defined revenue and cost goals.
• Build/write proposals (gather requirements during client briefing, formulate winning research solutions for client's business problems, design commercial frameworks, effectively present solutions and offers, etc.) with minimum support from senior team members.
• Actively participate in tasks related to business development with the support from senior colleagues; participate and support marketing outreach programs; initiate and support in developing industry/capability decks, white papers, thought papers, articles, case studies, etc. to support business development.
• Take lead to build/develop/train/mentor a team of senior analysts, analysts, and associates specialized in offering techno-commercial research & advisory services in chemicals & materials domain. Ensure nurture and recruit team members as and when required.
• Accountable for handling all client communication including client query with respect to a specific study - kick off calls, deliverable presentation, feedback calls, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; including the ability to articulate and facilitate technical, business, and analytical discussions (thought leadership).
• Strong analytical mindset and with strong technical background to generate insights and actionable recommendations for the client.

• Bachelor's and/or master's degree - chemical & material or related fields or equivalent experience. OR bachelor's in chemical/polymer science/metallurgy/industrial and MBA. Degree: B.E Chemical Engineering, + preferably MBA (marketing / operations)
• Minimum six (6) years of experience in business research or consulting type of engagements.
• Must have a deep level of primary research experience firsthand and have the ability to train team members & improve their primary research skills (preferred experience would be for primary research for pricing & cost analysis)
• Rich experience in terms of end-to-end management of business research or consulting engagements. Up to date with recent industry happening and challenge areas for Chemicals and Natural Resource industry, as well as aware of latest trends like sustainability, biomaterials, carbon neutrality, resource optimization, circular economy and digitization, etc.
• Past and current experience in handling team of qualified professionals.
• Excellent knowledge of Market Analysis, Business Analysis, Technology Analysis, Competitor Intelligence, Management Frameworks, Advanced MS Office, Forecasting and Business Writing.
• Experience and ability to work with all levels of management in an effective, proactive manner.
• Candidate should be self-organized; planned; matured; detail oriented.
